June 3 9:42

In Norilsk, a pack of stray dogs attacked two boys aged 12 and 13, the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported.

It all happened on June 2, when children were walking in the area of the memorial complex at Mount Schmidt. The dogs bit the schoolchildren, resulting in one of them being seriously injured.

“The children independently sought help, reporting the incident to the rescue service. Emergency services and an ambulance crew immediately arrived at the scene. The victims were provided with the necessary assistance, after which they were taken to the interdistrict hospital,” the supervisory agency said.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performing work or providing services that do not meet safety requirements). The prosecutor's office has organized an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the incident, which will assess the work of responsible officials and compliance with legal requirements when organizing the capture of stray animals.
