InPost wants to invest in France. It will create 750 new jobs
The planned investments are to focus on three pillars: automation of processes in sorting and distribution nodes, expansion of the network of parcel machines and further improvement of the quality of services for customers and e-commerce sellers. The implementation of the plans is expected to result in the creation of at least 750 new jobs throughout France.
In response to a question about changes in the delivery market under the influence of large Chinese platforms and possible competition from this side, the head of InPost admitted that competition is something that cannot be avoided. – It seems to me that instead of looking at our competitors, looking to the sides or behind us to see who is chasing us, we should set completely new trails when it comes to development, and that is why we do it this way, i.e. we want to always be a few steps ahead of the competition, no matter whether they are from China, Germany or another country – said Rafał Brzoska.

— We have no influence on how the European Union, for example, will regulate this market. We can only share our thoughts or show good examples of what it looks like abroad. It seems to me that today most platforms from China are beginning to notice the requirements imposed by the European Union on functioning on the market. Adapting to the rules prevailing in Europe is extremely important and we should speak with one voice on this matter, he added.
Rafał Brzoska also stated that during the Choose France summit he talked to five ministers of the French government and would talk to two more. He emphasized that he was the only Polish entrepreneur who was invited to dinner with President Emmanuel Macron. – This is also a result of our great conversation that we had a month ago in Gdańsk – he said.
— I think we are building Poland's image very well here in Paris, and we also announced an increase in our investments in France by another EUR 500 million. [ok. 2,11 mld zł]. This will bring our investment in France to EUR 1.4 billion [ok. 5,93 mld zł]so we will undoubtedly be the largest investor from Poland on the French market – he added.
