The Center for the Preservation of Vintage Cars in the Sverdlovsk District of Krasnoyarsk announced its closure from June 1.
According to the center, over 13 years of work, specialists have restored more than 60 vintage cars. The collection contained about 130 pieces of unique equipment, some of which, according to representatives of the center, were in a single copy in Russia. The report says that the center had plans to further develop and expand the collection, but it became impossible to maintain the museum and create new exhibits.
Representatives of the center noted that for 13 years they have been asking for support from city and regional authorities, including in writing and through the media. The appeal was also sent to the presidential administration, after which it was transferred to the governor’s administration.
The author of the message thanked the assistants, citizens and guests from other regions who visited the museum and supported the collection. The entire collection of vintage cars will move to another region.
