Romanians do not agree with an independent leading a government of the former coalition, according to an Avangarde survey / How many support the idea of anticipated

Most Romanians think that the idea of an independent leading a government made up of the parties from the former coalition is a bad idea, according to an Avangarde poll. Also, more than 50% of respondents oppose the idea of a government made up only of technocrats and support the organization of early parliamentary elections.
- The Avangarde survey was conducted by telephone (CATI method), between May 22 and 31, on 900 adults from Romania and has a reported margin of error of +/- 3.4%. The Socio-Behavioral Studies Group Avangarde SRL is 100% owned by the sociologist Marius Pieleanu.
According to sociological research, only 36.5% of Romanians believe that it would be a good idea to nominate an independent prime minister to lead a government formed by the parties from the former governing alliance (PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR, editor's note).
The survey comes in the context where several options were analyzed in the discussions at Cotroceni, including the option of a technocratic government.
The PSD signaled that it would be open to restoring the coalition, but without Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, while the PNL and USR decided in the leadership forums that they would no longer govern with the PSD.
According to the survey, only 37% of Romanians would like an executive made up only of independents, and 52% say that it should be made up of party people.

Also, more than 56% of the respondents supported the idea of early parliamentary elections, a scenario however excluded at the declarative level by the president Nicușor Dan.

Regarding the idea of a closer relationship with the Donald Trump Administration, 45% of respondents oppose it, and 42% agree.

On the other hand, two-thirds of Romanians would be in favor of a rapprochement with the weighty countries of the EU, such as Germany and France, and a quarter oppose the idea.
