President Karol Nawrocki and his wife Marta Nawrocka were on an official visit to Switzerland last week. The President of Poland met with the President of Switzerland, Guy Parmelin, members of the Swiss government and representatives of the business world.
During a meeting with the media, one of the journalists asked him a question about his relationship with Donald Trump. — President Nawrocki is known for being able to maintain excellent relations with President Trump. Meanwhile, we in Switzerland currently have some difficulties in this regard. What would you advise the Swiss president? – a media representative asked the Polish president.
Karol Nawrocki smiled after this question and replied: – I think that President Parmelin is such an experienced politician and has served Switzerland for so many years that – taking into account the needs of his country – he will find a way to establish the best possible relations with the most important partners for Switzerland. I'm calm about it. From Poland's point of view, the relationship with the US is crucial, so I take care of the relationship with the President of the United States and so far I have never been disappointed.
Karol Nawrocki spoke about security in Switzerland
– We spend almost 5%. our GDP for defense. Poland is arming itself and investing in common European security. We defend NATO's eastern flank, thereby defending all of Europe and the entire NATO, said the president.
As he said, “together with our partners, we want Europe to be strong and secure.” — To achieve this goal, all European countries must finally start taking these issues seriously, Nawrocki added.
