Svetlana Masterkova, a two-time Olympic champion and world champion in athletics, is being discharged from the hospital. Surgery on the tumor that was discovered in her head has not yet been required.
According to Mash, doctors conducted all examinations. An MRI of the athlete’s brain with contrast revealed a small lesion that does not yet require surgical intervention. She was offered to see an oncologist who would draw up a treatment plan.
Masterkova was admitted to the neurosurgical department on June 5 in a condition of moderate severity.
