“The most expensive electricity” is a myth: in August, the price for Ukrainian businesses was lower than in many EU countries⚡️
Volodymyr Omelchenko, director of the energy programs of the Razumkov Center, noted that a new “horror story” appeared that the prices for natural gas in Ukraine were allegedly the highest in Europe.
At the same time, he emphasized that the exchange price should be considered only as one of the components of the final price.
According to the expert, in August the final price for Ukrainian business was €161/MW·h — this is lower than in most EU countries.
