The story of the 12 girls from Târgu Mureș who won “Romanians have talent”. The band Re-Born says it was “reborn” under the guidance of a teacher

The band Re-Born won the final of the 16th season of the show “Romanians have talent” and the prize of 120,000 euros on Friday evening with a spectacular moment. The band is made up of 12 girls from Târgu Mureș, aged between 15 and 19, who practice contemporary dance and gymnastics.

Before the final, the members of the band said that, if they won the grand prize, they would like to renovate the hall of the Children's Palace in Târgu Mureș, where they train.

Re-Born was formed under the guidance of choreographer Mihaela Codreanu, a teacher at the Children's Palace in Târgu Mureș, who has been teaching for 26 years.

According to the presentation made on the show, the girls say that they have been “reborn” as a band under her guidance.

The Re-born troupe tackles contemporary dance, a style that the choreographer finds difficult, because you have to understand it deeply to be able to perform it. That is why the training of the girls began first at the psychological level and only then at the level of movements. Mihaela helps them understand how people react in common situations, but in totally different ways, according to ProTv.ro

The band has several national and international awards. They won the World Championship in Rome, where they obtained 3 prizes – 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. They are national and international champions at the level of Children's Palaces around the world, and last year they had 7 international choreographies, winning prizes in all categories of the competitions.

Despite the results, training conditions remained difficult. According to the presentation made in the show, the gym in which they train is run down, with mirrors that are coming off, and the available space is limited. Sometimes band members practice in the school yard or gym after classes are over.
