Rospotrebnadzor summed up the preliminary results of the investigation into cases of acute intestinal infection in the Krasnoyarsk Cadet Corps named after A.I. Swan. According to updated data, 35 students were poisoned; all sick children are already healthy.

As it turned out, the source of infection was a kitchen employee. Experts found norovirus RNA in him. The virus was transmitted to the cadets through prepared meals.

During the inspection, gross sanitary violations were found in the catering unit: specialists noticed cockroaches in the premises, there was no bactericidal equipment for preparing cold dishes, raw materials and finished products were stored together, there were no thermometers in the refrigerators, and unsold pastries and bread were frozen.

It is known that Vstrecha VK LLC has been organizing catering at the educational institution since March. An administrative case has been initiated against him under an article on violation of sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the conditions of raising and educating children. After the investigation is completed, all materials will be transferred to law enforcement agencies.

We would like to remind you that earlier a criminal case was opened regarding the provision of services that did not meet safety requirements based on the fact of poisoning. During the inspection and before the start of the summer holidays, the cadets studied remotely, and the catering department was closed.
