Florin Talpan charges Gigi Becali: “Moral damages of 20,000 euros!”. Charged for image damage
Florin Talpan won the open lawsuit against Gigi Becali and will receive 20,000 euros in compensation. The court decided that FCSB's boss must pay him this amount for image damage.

The decision was pronounced on Friday, May 22, by the Bucharest Court. However, the decision is not final, and Becali has the possibility to appeal.
Florin Talpan opened the lawsuit after he claimed that certain statements of the financier affected his public image. The lawyer had initially asked for damages of 80,000 euros, but the court granted a smaller amount. The trial was opened in January 2024 by CSA Steaua's jurist, who stated that certain reactions from FCSB fans came as a result of Becali's statements.
Information about the verdict appeared on the official portal of the courts: “Admits, in part, the summons request. It obliges the defendant to pay moral damages to the plaintiff in the amount of 20,000 euros, the payment to be made in lei, at the BNR exchange rate from the date of payment.
It obliges the defendant to pay the plaintiff court costs in the amount of 100 lei. With the right to file an appeal within 30 days from the communication, and the appeal request is submitted to the Bucharest Court, Civil Section IV, under penalty of nullity. Pronounced by making the solution available to the parties by the court registry today, 05/22/2026!”.
