Alexander Gliskov's house arrest was extended

20 May 14:53

Today, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk extended the preventive measure in the form of house arrest for a person convicted in a bribery case against a well-known politician and lawyer Alexander Gliskov.

The investigation requested this, arguing that they did not have time to figure everything out and needed more time. As a result, the court extended Gliskova’s house arrest for 1 month and 19 days, that is, until July 13.

“The judge considered that nothing had changed since the election of house arrest, and the investigation needed more time. Although the defense objected, 3 months for the investigation is enough to correct mistakes, all the witnesses were questioned during the investigation and in court, there is no reason to keep a person locked up for a third year. The decision to extend house arrest will definitely be appealed to the regional court,” Gliskov’s associates reported on social networks.

Let us remind you that Alexander Gliskov was detained in Krasnoyarsk on November 1, 2023 on suspicion of a corruption crime. The investigation believed that in 2017, as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly and using his official powers, he received 1 million rubles for stopping criticism of KraiDEO, which was engaged in road repairs.

Gliskov himself denied everything and called his case political. IN In October 2024, the Central District Court found him guilty under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and imposed a sentence of 10 years of imprisonment in a maximum security colony. IN February 2026 regional the court overturned the verdict and returned the case to the prosecutor, and Gliskov was immediately released from custody, applying a preventive measure in the form of house arrest until May 24, 2026.
