May 15, 1897

On this day, a fighter of the People's Revolutionary Army, Alexander Grigorievich Vologin, was born. A. Zaitsev talks about him in the book “The Immortality of the Names of the Volochaev Land” (12+).

In 1913, Alexander and his resettled parents came to the Far East, and at the age of 16 he began working on the railroad, where his father worked as a carpenter.

In 1916, the family moved to the station. In. During the Civil War, the Red Guard was a partisan. Since 1919, he worked on the Ussuri Railway as a driver at the station depot. In. After the war he returned to the station. Ying, joined the party in 1925. At first he worked as a fireman on a steam locomotive, then he mastered the profession of a driver. Alexander Grigorievich was one of the initiators of the Stakhanov movement in the depot of the station. In. Later, the leadership of the Khabarovsk branch of the Trans-Siberian Railway promoted A. G. Vologin to the position of head of the Insk locomotive depot.

In December 1937, Vologin A.G. was elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the first convocation. He died on October 29, 1939 during a session of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in Moscow.

Birobidzhan residents fulfilled the April target for gross output by 116.8%, and the four-month target by 114.8%. First grade garments were produced 1.4% more than planned. The same newspaper writes about interesting rationalization proposals, for example, about a method of planting cabbage in open ground in April on the collective farm “Zavety Ilyich.” At the Khinganolovo factory, work has begun to unite all drying departments into a single complex, and a more productive method of mass explosions has also been successfully used. At the Teploozersky cement plant, a garland-screw curtain has been successfully introduced in the clinker firing shop, the economic effect of this innovation is more than 150 thousand rubles per year, the plant innovators are busy reconstructing the aspiration system, improving the transportation of dry coal and ash.

The meeting of the active members of the regional and Birobidzhan city party organizations approved the Resolution of the April (1973) Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee “On the international activities of the CPSU Central Committee to implement the decisions of the XXIV Party Congress” and determined the tasks of the regional party organization. The meeting recommended that party committees and primary party organizations base their organizational and political work on broadly explaining to the working people the materials of the April Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee, conduct an offensive struggle against the ideology of anti-communism, and expose the reactionary essence of international Zionism.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” on May 15, 1977, on its pages, talked about the collective farm “Zavety Ilyich”, which was formed in 1929 in the village of Valdgeim. Representatives of 11 nationalities of the USSR work on the collective farm. Over the entire period of its existence, the collective farm has provided the workers of the Far East with hundreds of thousands of tons of grain, vegetables, potatoes, milk and meat.

For success in the development of agricultural production, the collective farm was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. The collective farm has in its collection: the anniversary memorial banner of the CPSU Central Committee, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the Council of Ministers of the USSR and the All-Russian Central Council of Trade Unions – based on the results of socialist competition and in connection with the 50th anniversary of Soviet power. For successes in the Ninth Five-Year Plan, the collective farm was awarded the Memorial Badge of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and the Central Committee of the Komsomol “For Labor Valor in the Ninth Five-Year Plan.” Among the 750 leading teams in the country, it is listed on the All-Union Honor Board of the VDNKh USSR. There are three Heroes of Socialist Labor on the collective farm, two people were awarded the Order of Lenin, three were awarded the Order of the October Revolution, over twenty were awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor and Labor Glory. In total, about 70 collective farmers were awarded orders and medals of the USSR.

During the Great Patriotic War, dozens of collective farm members defended the borders of the Motherland with weapons in their hands. And those who remained in the rear reaped record harvests and contributed their savings to the construction of military equipment.
