The deputy head of one of the police departments in the Krasnoyarsk Territory was suspected of bribery (video)

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case was opened against the Deputy Chief of Police for Operations of the Sharypovsky District Ministry of Internal Affairs for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to investigators, from December 2017 to July 2025, the suspect provided general patronage to a local entrepreneur who was involved in the illegal trafficking of counterfeit tobacco products and alcohol. For this, the high-ranking police officer received a monetary reward in the amount of 1.2 million rubles, the Investigative Committee reported.

The defendant's home and work were searched. He was detained, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being decided.

“Currently, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime committed. The actions of the bribe-giver will also be given a criminal legal assessment,” the Investigative Committee added.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region reported that they were conducting an internal investigation into the possible commission of an illegal act by a police officer: “If guilt is confirmed, he will be held accountable and punished in the manner prescribed by law.”
