Priority payments for injured farmers
As part of the direct and area subsidies campaign for last year, PLN 17.9 billion has been transferred to farmers' accounts so far. Of this amount, PLN 14.71 billion are direct payments – including PLN 111.1 million in welfare payments, while PLN 3.19 billion was transferred under area support.
The first to receive support were farmers whose crops were destroyed by last year's weather anomalies. The greatest destruction occurred in Żuławy. Payment priority was also given to those who reported force majeure, as well as those who were defrauded by contractors.
According to the regulations, the process of transferring final payments may take until the end of June. ARiMR is trying to speed it up as much as possible. The budget for these payments is approximately PLN 19.2 billion.

Ecoscheme Animal welfare is one of the important elements of direct payments under the Common Agricultural Policy. Support in this respect is provided to farmers who meet requirements that go beyond standard animal maintenance obligations. This includes: for a larger living area, keeping animals on litter, providing free range, grazing or applying specific quality systems.
