A real plague has appeared in the building of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representatives of Yamal installed it for the Day of Indigenous Minorities.
According to Sever-Press, hundreds of ambassadors of foreign countries were invited to the diplomatic reception. The Yamal residents not only showed the life of tundra dwellers, national songs and crafts, but also treated the guests to northern delicacies – venison, cloudberries and other products.
Let us add that the Krasnoyarsk Territory is also one of the key territories inhabited by indigenous peoples. Representatives of eight ethnic groups live in the region: Dolgans, Evenks, Nenets, Kets, Nganasans, Selkups, Enets and Chulyms. The total number of indigenous minorities in the region is 15.7 thousand people. The smallest ethnic group is the Chulyms, with a total of 145 people.
