The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) released on Tuesday evening the final results at the first round of the presidential elections 2025.
Thus, after centralizing all the verbal processes in the country and abroad, George Simion, the golden candidate, obtained 3,862,761 votes (40.96%), followed by the independent candidate Nicuşor Dan, with 1,979,767 votes (20.99%).
The total number of voters who presented to the ballot box at the first round of the poll is 9,571,899, representing 53.19% of the total number of voters registered in the permanent electoral lists.
Validly expressed votes were 9,430,274, representing 98.52% of the total number of voters who were presented at the ballot box, null votes being 141,388, representing 1.48% of the total number of voters who were presented in the sections.
The situation of the votes obtained by the candidates is as follows:
- George Simion (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) – 3,862,761 (40.96%)
- Nicuşor Dan (independent) – 1,979,767 (20.99%)
- Crin Antonescu (Electoral Alliance “Romania, before!”) – 1,892.930 (20.07%)
- Victor Ponta (independent) – 1,230.164 (13.04%)
- Elena Lasconi (Union Save Romania) – 252,721 (2.68%)
- Lavinia Şandru (Liberal Social Humanist Party) – 60,682 (0.64%)
- Daniel Funeriu (independent) – 49,604 (0.53%)
- Cristian Terheş (Romanian Conservative National Party) – 36,445 (0.39%)
- Sebastian Popescu (New Romania Party) – 25,994 (0.28%)
- John Ion Banu Muscel (independent) – 22.020 (0.23%)
- Silviu Predoiu (League of National Action League) – 17.186 (0.18%)
The report with the final results of the vote is transmitted to the Constitutional Court, for validation.
