Ukraine already has missiles similar in range to the German TAURUS cruise missiles. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Mikhail Fedorov, at a briefing with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on May 11, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“If we’re talking about TAURUS, then, of course, we now already have missiles that operate at similar and greater distances. But we can never have enough of such weapons,” Fedorov emphasized.
The minister added that Ukraine is gaining a certain independence in the development of long-range systems.
“We all saw strikes on the Russian Federation over 1.5 thousand km. And therefore Ukraine is doing its homework well,” he noted.
On April 29, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukrainian special services are capable of launching strikes at a distance of more than 1.5 thousand km deep into Russia.
