Ukraine handed over to Russia a list of fighters compiled according to the principle of length of time in captivity – coordination headquarters

Ukraine handed over to the aggressor country of the Russian Federation a list of 1 thousand captured Ukrainian military personnel, which was formed on the basis of the duration of their stay in Russian captivity since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The coordination headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war reported this on May 10 in Telegram.

The department noted that the negotiation process on the exchange continues. The formation of a list based on the principle of length of stay in captivity, according to them, was repeatedly agreed upon by authorized negotiators of Ukraine and Russia.

The transfer of the list took place through the mediation of the United States. The headquarters emphasized that this is a humanitarian step aimed at returning Ukrainian soldiers home and bringing a just world closer.

The coordination headquarters also urged not to disseminate unverified information outside of official sources, since negotiations are still ongoing.
