On day 2 of the ceasefire, Zelenski accuses Russia of “not respecting” the ceasefire on the front line

Russian forces are carrying out attacks on the front line, violating the three-day ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounces, according to AFP and Agerpres.

“The Russians are continuing their assault operations in strategic sectors for them,” Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a video address on Sunday night, while also stating that no “large-scale” airstrikes were launched on Sunday.

“On the front line, the Russian army does not respect the ceasefire and does not even make efforts in this regard,” he added.

However, the Russian Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine of “16,071 violations” of the ceasefire in the last 24 hours, including thousands of drone attacks.

American President Donald Trump announced on Friday evening a three-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, starting on Saturday.

Russian attacks reported by Ukrainians

Ukrainian Air Force data shows a drop in long-range drone attacks since the start of the ceasefire, but authorities have reported at least nine injuries.

The administration of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region (central-east) reported that a three-year-old girl had been injured in a drone attack in the Sinelnikove district and had been hospitalized in “stable condition”.

In the same region, in the Nikopol district, a 23-year-old rescuer was also injured on Sunday morning when a Russian drone attacked his rescue vehicle, according to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.

Four people were injured in the Kherson region (south), including a 19-year-old man and a 53-year-old municipal employee, according to local authorities.

In the neighboring region of Nikolaev (south), authorities also said the Russian military had attacked a civilian vehicle with a drone, injuring a 68-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman.

A 52-year-old man was also injured in the Zaporozhye region (south) during an attack by Russian drones, according to the regional administration.
