Transcarpathian journalist Vitaliy Hlagola reported on May 9 about a conflict near the Transcarpathian TCC and SP. He claims that the military opened fire during an attempt to storm the building.
According to the journalist’s sources among TCC employees and eyewitnesses, after that about 30 people gathered near the building. The crowd began to break down the doors and tried to break into the TCC. During the conflict, TCC employees opened fire, writes Glagola.
According to him, at least four shots were fired: most from a starting pistol and at least one shot from a Kalashnikov assault rifle with a blank cartridge.
The journalist published a video from surveillance cameras of the 2nd department of the Khust RTCC and joint venture in Mezhgorye, in which sounds similar to gunshots are heard. He writes that the conflict arose after the mobilization of a local representative of the Roma community.
The Transcarpathian regional TCC and joint venture published an official commentary on this incident.
“Today, an attempt was made to attack the premises of the 2nd department of the Khust RTCC and joint venture in the village of Mezhgorye. A group of people tried to force their way into the territory of a military facility, ignoring the legal requirements of the duty squad,” the message says.
The TCC notes that the threat was localized and the attack was repulsed.
