Krasnoyarsk residents explained high heating bills in January

February 3 8:51

Residents of Krasnoyarsk began to receive bills for heat and water for the second month of winter – for some, the amounts in payments have increased significantly compared to December.

To questions from citizens Konstantin Borodin, director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of SGK, responded on his social networks regarding heating charges in January:

Compared to December, heating fees have increased significantly. The increase is associated with abnormal frosts in January 2026, which was significantly colder than both December and January 2025. Due to severe cold, the volume of heat consumption increases and, accordingly, the amount of payment. For residents of houses who pay according to the standard, the amount for heating has not changed

He noted that the approach to heating charges in Krasnoyarsk, Kansk and Nazarovo has not changed: it is still based on the readings of public meters (that is, how much the house consumes is billed for payment). Readings in most houses are taken remotely, without the participation of people; in other cases, they are transferred to the heat supply company by employees of management companies. Data with daily readings can be requested from the SGC and the Criminal Code, and then compared.

Konstantin Borodin also spoke about providing installment payment and recalculation for those who had problems with heating due to problems at the EVRZ boiler room.

“According to Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 354, if the payment for utilities in January 2026 exceeded 25% compared to the same period last year (January 2025), then an installment plan is provided for 12 months. At such addresses it will be issued automatically, the information will appear in receipts. The installment plan will be provided without interest and penalties, you can pay in installments or in one amount in any month of the period, explainedDirector of the Krasnoyarsk branch of SGK. – As for EVRZ – the boiler house provides heat to 33 houses, of which 29 are on direct payments with SGC. For these houses, a recalculation was carried out for a total amount of 1 million rubles. No additional documents were required from consumers.”
