Băluţă accuses the existence of a huge propaganda that “pumps hatred”: PSD is continuously chopped, and whoever refers negatively to PNL or USR is sanctioned

The mayor of District 4, Daniel Băluţă, president of PSD Bucharest, accuses the existence of a “huge propaganda machine” that “pumps hatred” against those who relate negatively to PNL or USR.
According to Daniel Băluţă, those who do not support the interim government enter a “shadow ban” on social networks, with restricted visibility, reports Agerpres.
“A huge propaganda machine, which at this moment is acting really uncontrolled, exponentially reducing access to normal means of communication, has been set in motion. What is happening today is not normal. The other day I was reading an extremely respected news site which, in a space of a few days, due to the fact that it allowed itself to talk about the supreme leader, about the beloved commander of Romania, about the providential man, its visitors decreased by ten times. From a million unique hits, we only have 100,000. It reminds me of a huge type of censorship,” said Băluţă, present on Saturday at the event organized by PES activists on the occasion of Europe Day.
He claimed that anyone who refers negatively to PNL or USR ends up being sanctioned, only reports of the type from the “Scânteia” newspaper being allowed. Also, he claims, on the “propaganda channels” the PSD is “continuously chopped”.
“It's a thing that has to stop, because we can do all the things we've been doing. We can do more. But as long as the manipulation, the influencing of perceptions reaches that level, things can't go well. Things can't go well when a man chains himself to a chair and says, 'If you don't want me, I want you.' I compared him with Alexandru Lăpuşneanu. I compared him with another leader of Romania, a supreme commander, who wanted to control absolutely everything, from information to economic activity”.
The social democrat said that the censure motion was initiated because of the “lack of dialogue”, the “despotic” way of leadership, but also the decrease in the standard of living.
“We ended up not being able to use social media anymore”
“Hatred in society has reached paroxysmal levels, and every day this propaganda machine pumps out hatred. We have reached a situation where we can no longer use social media. At least, as a personal example, we have switched to classic versions of dialogue. We have switched to classic means of communication, because if you are not with Bolojan, it is normal to be in the shadow ban, it does not matter that you are on Facebook, on TikTok, on Instagram. You do not have to exist. If you praise, it is wonderful”, claimed Băluţă.
He added that, in moments like Europe Day, successes must be celebrated, while being aware of the things that could be done better.
“We have to be very careful, because today, from the point of view of the approach, from the point of view of communication, people like those who secure an interim position at the Government of Romania are extremely toxic and dangerous for our society. What is happening today is very similar to what we experienced before 1989. It is really a slippage of freedom of expression. I am very glad that we acted accordingly. I am convinced that we have the patience, tenacity and determination necessary to overcome this delicate situation in which we find ourselves”, said the PSD leader.
