
On May 2, 87-year-old retired Colonel General Stanislav Petrov was found dead in Moscow (the capital of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation). The Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti reported this on May 4, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.
We are talking about the former commander of the chemical defense troops of the USSR, and after that – the first chief of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Army.
His body was found in an apartment in a building on Serafimovicha Street. Preliminarily, law enforcement officers are considering the possibility of suicide, the interlocutor indicated.
“Like this” reminded that Petrov also took part in eliminating the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
He remained at the post of chief of the Russian Chemical Defense Troops until 2001. Petrov was a Doctor of Military Sciences and was considered one of the key experts in his field.
