The death of Oradea doctor Daniela Jovrea, at only 53 years old, offered a new chance at life for several patients in the country, after her daughter, a student of Medicine, decided to donate the doctor's organs.

The doctor's daughter, 19-year-old Brigita, a medical student, sent an emotional message on Facebook, where she talked about her mother and how she continued to help even after her death:
“Mom, you were and will always be the most important person in my life. I loved you more than I can express in words, I love you every moment and I will love you all my life. My love for you will never fade. Your whole existence was dedicated to good, you saved lives and brought light to people's souls. And now, even in your departure, you continued to do the same, you saved other lives as only you knew.
That says everything about who you were. I like to think that Lord God needed you up there in heaven, because you are too good a soul not to continue to help from there. I know you will take care of people and above, as you always have. I love you so much and I promise I will do everything I can to make you proud of me. I will carry on everything you taught me and I will never forget how much you meant to me. I love you mom. Forever”, the young woman wrote on her social media page.
The liver taken from urologist Daniela Jovrea was transplanted at the Fundeni Clinical Institute to a nurse who had only a few hours left to live, according to a report published on Facebook by journalist Dorin Chiotea and confirmed for BIHOREANUL by Dr. Carmen Pantiș, coordinator of the transplant program in Bihor.
“The team from the Fundeni Clinical Institute of Prof. Dr. Vlad Brașoveanu, shoulder to shoulder with Prof. ATI Dana Tomescu, received the liver that incredibly restored the life of a young nurse. She had the terrible hepato-pulmonary syndrome in the terminal stage, she only had a few hours left to live on machines and with an oxygen mask. At the end of the operation, the doctors hugged and cried continuously for tens of minutes. happiness!”wrote the journalist, who also mentioned the other organs sampled.
Daniela Jovrea had been declared brain dead after an aneurysm suffered on April 14 and died on Friday morning.
The doctor's kidneys were sent to the Clinical Institute of Urology and Renal Transplantation in Cluj-Napoca, and the cornea was sent to a medical unit in Bucharest, the quoted source says.
Dr. Daniela Jovrea was a primary urologist and worked both within the Bihor County Emergency Clinical Hospital, but also in the private sector.
We remind you that the mortality of patients on the transplant waiting list is high because the donation rate is low in Romania. Efforts to increase organ donation from the brain dead would save many lives.
