The operation covered multiple regions, reaching as far as the Baltic coast, where 87 drones struck near St. Petersburg. They hit, among others: in the naval plant in Kronstadt and the naval ammunition warehouse in Lebyazhye.
A coordinated long-range drone operation launched in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 6, resulted in the destruction of key Russian naval facilities, ammunition depots and high-capacity oil refineries in many regions of Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine.
Alexander Drozdenko, governor of the Leningrad region, stated that air defense units were engaged in the fight against a huge swarm of nearly 90 drones. He warned residents that air fighting continued until late in the morning.

The mayor of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, also issued a statement confirming that the city had been subjected to a large-scale attack.
Residents and social media channels documented extensive damage near the island city of Kronstadt, a strategic center that is home to the main base of the Russian navy's Baltic Fleet.
Drone strikes caused a fire and a visible column of smoke in the immediate vicinity of the Russian military base in Kronstadt, which maintains, repairs and equips Russian surface ships and submarines.
At the same time, subsequent waves of drones hit the town of Lebyazhye in the Leningrad Oblast. Operational reports indicate that the attack targeted the 15th Arsenal of the Russian Navy and hit a key ammunition depot.
Setting fire to refineries and fuel warehouses
The operation also led to a series of precision strikes against the Russian energy sector and fuel logistics centers. The Poltavskaya fuel warehouse in Krasnodar Krai was hit by multiple drones, causing a fire that spread to approximately 5,000 square meters.
The facility has 28 tanks with a total capacity of 14,000. 950 cubic meters and is a key fuel distribution point for consumers throughout Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygea. Local emergency services confirmed the scale of the fire but noted that no staff casualties were reported.
At the same time, there was also an attack on the Antipinski oil refinery in Tyumen – one of the largest private oil processing enterprises in Russia. The drones struck one of the refinery's main processing units, causing an immediate structural fire at the facility, which has an annual processing capacity of more than 9 million tonnes of crude oil for the production of gasoline and diesel.
Attack on seaports and industrial centers on the front line
In Tula Oblast, local media documented a series of loud explosions and resulting structure fires in the city of Uzlovaya.
Another Ukrainian attack targeted the occupied Ukrainian port city of Mariupol. The drones bypassed local air defenses to detonate the devices directly at the Mariupol seaport, which Russian forces routinely used to smuggle heavy military equipment, looted grain and mineral resources from the occupied Donbas region.
On June 3, another attack damaged the Russian corvette “Boikiy” in Kronstadt. The recent attacks show that Ukraine is conducting a systematic campaign to weaken Russia's military logistics far behind the front lines.
