Two of the players on loan from Liverpool and Bayern Munich will return to their respective clubs after failing to impress at the teams they were loaned to this season.

It's about Harvey Elliott and Bryan Zaragoza. The former, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder, was loaned by Liverpool to Aston Villa, but was not used at all by Unai Emery.

The Englishman played only 9 times for the “lions” from Birmingham, 4 times in the championship, 4 times in the Premier League, once in the League Cup. Just 277 minutes, well short of what both sides imagined when they clapped.

Both Aston Villa and AS Roma had the possibility to buy the two players they had temporarily in the yard, but both decided against activating the clausesaccording to journalist Nicolo Schira, specialized in international transfers.

Elliott would have cost Villa around 40 million euros, Zaragoza to AS Roma much less, 13 million.

None will stay with the teams they belong to. Liverpool and Bayern will look for new destinations for them, the cited source also writes.
