Ukraine is building a powerful defense line. The general admits: It can already be seen from space

Ukraine is building a multi-layer defense line against Russia, which leads from the northern edge of the Kiev Reservoir on the Dnieper River to the city of Sumy in the north-east of the country, said the head of the Ukrainian engineering forces, General Vasyl Syrotenko.

– Large-scale efforts are currently underway to build a multi-layer defense line, starting from the city of Sumy, (…) which could prepare such a multi-layered defense in a short time, to the Kiev Reservoir – Syrotenko said in an interview with the state Ukrinform agency published on Tuesday.

The Kiev Reservoir is located north of the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. The straight line distance to Sum is approx 300 km.

This line of defense is being built. A lot of effort and resources were invested to create it as quickly as possible, added the general. The military boasted that the line is visible from space.

Syrotenko explained that the multi-layer fortifications consist of barbed wire fences, the so-called pyramids – concrete blocks that impede the movement of heavy equipment and anti-tank ditches.

– We are building a stable defense that, at the same time provides room for maneuver for our troopsbut above all, it creates favorable conditions for the implementation of tasks by our unmanned structures, which today bear the main burden of attacking the enemy – said Syrotenko.
