The mayor of Krasnoyarsk demanded to strengthen control over road repairs

30 April 18:00

The head of Krasnoyarsk, Sergei Vereshchagin, stated the need to tighten control over road work at all stages – from checking materials to accepting finished objects. He reported this on his channel in the MAX messenger.

On April 30, the mayor visited the UDIB road laboratory, where he assessed the start of the road repair campaign in the regional capital. Here, experts analyze the quality of materials: contractors check crushed stone, sand and bitumen. About 50 samples have already been taken. According to Sergei Vereshchagin, after last year’s comments, some companies changed their quarry, since it is crushed stone that largely determines the strength of the roadway.

The head of the city instructed to update the technical specifications for contractors by the next season. They plan to provide new conditions aimed at improving the quality of the asphalt concrete mixture, taking into account sudden temperature changes and winter frosts.

After visiting the laboratory, the mayor went to Maerchak Street, where he checked the organization of work. Currently, renovations are also underway on eight more streets, including Aviators, Elena Stasova, Dictatorship of the Proletariat and Odesskaya.

In total, this season in Krasnoyarsk it is planned to repair 52 roads and four bridge structures with a total length of almost 70 kilometers. In addition, the work will affect 136 inter-block passages. Financing is provided from federal funds within the framework of the national project Infrastructure for Life, as well as regional and city budgets.

Special attention is paid to warranty items. There are 230 of them in total, while 150 of them have already been identified. Contractors began to remove them.
