Bangladesh Football Federation is looking for a coach. A publication from the South Asian country claims that the Romanian Liviu Ciobotariu (55 years old) is among those who submitted their CV.
The Bangladesh national team was left without a coach after the departure of Javier Cabrera, who had been in charge for more than 4 years, from January 2022.
The federation has started the recruitment process for the next coach and urged interested coaches to send their CVs.
Liviu Ciobotariu would be “applied” for the Bangladesh national team
The file of the Romanian Liviu Ciobotariu would also have arrived at the Federation's address, writes the local publication Origin Foot. Ciobotariu is out of contract since September 2025, when he parted ways with Petrolul Ploiești.
He also had a mandate as a selector in Asia, but in the west of the continent, at the national team of Lebanon, during 2019-2020. He left a good impression there, qualifying the team for the third round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Since then, Ciobotariu has trained only in Romania, at Hermannstadt, Voluntari, Sepsi, FC Botoșani and Petrolul Ploiești.
