New ZUS announcement. They warn against scammers. They want PLN 800

“An elderly man contacted the Social Insurance Institution. The senior received a phone call from a person who pretended to be an employee of ZUS. The fraudster persuaded the man to join the 'pension program' and thus increase his pension. The fee for this service was PLN 800,” we read in the new ZUS announcement.
The man later received two text messages confirming his registration in the program and a payment reminder. ZUS reminds that only those customers who have an eZUS account and have chosen this method of contact are contacted electronically or via SMS.

Fraudsters target pensioners. ZUS appeal
The plant also appeals to everyone, especially the elderly, to be especially careful when talking on the phone. As he emphasizes, information provided in this way may be used to the client's disadvantage.

“If someone answering such a call has doubts about the identity of a person claiming to be an employee of ZUS, they can check it. To do this, they can contact the nearest branch or Customer Contact Center at 22 560 16 00 or at the e-mail address [email protected],” we read.
