“I said I was dying.” Panic in the neighborhood of Galati where the drone fell: “I heard a boom four times, I went out and saw the army on the street”
217 people were evacuated by the authorities, after the fragments of a drone were discovered in the municipality of Galati, where an outbuilding and an electricity pole were damaged. The area is swarming with policemen, gendarmes, firefighters and medical crews. Also, the team of pyrotechnicians arrived at the scene.

The remains of the drone fell on the workshop of a 90-year-old man. Witnesses claim that the old man had a panic attack and was taken to the hospital.
“I was very scared, I thought I was dying,” said the grandson of the old man who was also in the house at the time of the explosion.
People say they heard a loud bang: “I live right across the street, it's normal to be scared.”
The locals were evacuated in slippers and house clothes with only their identity documents on them.
“They knocked on my door in the morning and said a drone had fallen. Pack your bag, get your report card and get out. I took a pill, my wallet and left“, said a local woman.
Following the incident, the authorities ordered the preventive evacuation of people within a radius of 200 m, after identifying a possible explosive charge, the MAI reported
“I heard a noise, the police came at half past four, now we're waiting for them to let us go home. I wasn't scared, at my age what should scare me, but the children were scared”one man reported.
“The first time we thought it was a murder, then we were told that there was a drone in a neighbor's yard. I didn't hear anything. Cica would have found it, but only part of the drone Ion found in the yard”another woman said.
“I heard a loud boom. I heard boom about four times, I said let's go outside. And I saw the army in the street and the power lines down in the street,” a witness said.
