Searches at the psychologist Ion Duvac, accused of sexually harassing his clients. He was taken to the hearings

On Wednesday, the Bucharest police officers carried out searches in a criminal case regarding abuse of office for sexual purposes, rape and sexual assault. The targeted person is the psychologist Ion Duvac, judicial sources told HotNews.
“Considering the ex officio notification drawn up at the Criminal Investigation Service Sector 5, on February 23, 2026, following which investigations were started, in terms of committing the crimes of abuse of office for sexual purposes, rape and sexual assault, acts allegedly committed by a 64-year-old man, a psychologist from the Capital, this morning are being executed two search warrants, in the Municipality of Bucharest”, the Capital Police reported, without giving the name of the suspect.
According to HotNews sources, it is about the psychologist Ion Duvac, about whom PressOne revealed in February that the doctor in psychology and member of the Commission of Deontology and Discipline of the Romanian College of Psychologists sexually harasses his clients through explicit sexual proposals and asks for pictures of their intimate parts from the first meeting.
According to a recording published by PressOne, Duvac asked a woman intimate questions during the session about the woman's sex life, orgasms and sexual positions.
PressOne tried before publication to get a point of view from Ion Duvac, but he refused to answer the journalists' questions. Instead, he tried to convince the journalists to postpone the publication of the article, on the grounds that “it's like I don't want to end my career, projects and public image like this”.
Later, he resigned from the governing boards of the College of Psychologists in Romania.
“As I previously informed you, in the context of the accusations that appeared in the public space and the existence of an ongoing criminal investigation, I decided to submit my mandate from all the management forums within the College of Psychologists in Romania. I believe that this decision is necessary to protect the stability and credibility of the institution at a time of intense public pressure,” wrote Duvac.
On Wednesday, the police picked up Duvac from his home and he was taken to the headquarters of the Sector 5 Criminal Investigation Service for questioning.
The investigations are being continued by the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service Sector 5, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the District 5 Court, in terms of the commission of the mentioned crimes, the Capital Police also reported.
