Former mayor of Nazarovo Vladimir Saar added an episode with a bribe of 1 million rubles (video)

WITHinvestigators have found a new episode of bribe taking during investigation of the criminal case of the former head of the city of Nazarovo Vladimir Saar. As reported in the regional Investigative Committee, the official is now suspected of receiving a million rubles from a local businessman.

According to investigators, in August-September 2022, the director of several commercial organizations gave the former mayor a bribe for general patronage when doing business in the city. After receiving the money, Saar helped the company bribe giver win a municipal contract for the amount of 4.5 million rubles.

The businessman was detained and searches were carried out at his place of residence and work. He is accused of giving a large bribe to an official. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is still being decided. The former head of Nazarovo himself is now under house arrest – in February the court changed his preventive measure from a pre-trial detention center.

Let us remind you that Saar was detained in October last year. According to the initial version, from 2023 to 2024 he received 3.5 million rubles from another company for helping him win the competition and concluding a contract for 100 million rubles for road work. The investigation continues, investigators are establishing all the circumstances.
