Three organizers of a hike to the Munku-Sardyk peak in the Eastern Sayan Mountains, during which three residents of Krasnoyarsk died, were charged. This was reported to the Investigative Directorate for the Republic of Buryatia.
All defendants are charged under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence. We are talking about the director of a travel company from Krasnoyarsk, her deputy and a guide-instructor who organized the tour and themselves participated in the trip. The accused were detained, the issue of preventive measures is being decided.

Let us remind you that the tragedy occurred on April 20. A group of 15 people reached the top and then began their descent. The last group of tourists – two women and a man – fell behind and did not return to the camp. Their bodies were found higher up the slope.
Investigators found extensive abrasions on the woman’s face, presumably from a rockfall or a fall from a height. An examination will determine the exact cause of death.
