“The defendants did not admit their guilt. According to their version, the guard hit first, allegedly insulting a SVO member who was on vacation. Later, the security, according to the attackers, took out a hammer and a nail puller. They came to “sort it out peacefully,” but self-defense was required – they pulled out a knife out of fear for the life of their comrade. No one planned hooliganism, the men simply reacted to the aggression of the guards,” the supervisory agency clarified.

The prosecutor confirmed the charge of hooliganism against the men (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Four of them will appear before the Norilsk City Court.

In relation to the fifth, a serviceman, the case has been separated into separate proceedings and is being investigated by the military investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee. The case is currently suspended because the man is in custody, the prosecutor’s office explained.
