The level of support for US President Donald Trump remains at the lowest level during his second term at 36%. – according to a Reuters/Ipsos study, the results of which were presented on Tuesday. The same percentage of Americans support attacks on Iran.

Just like last month, 36% support Trump's actions as president. Americans. Trump enjoyed the highest support (47%) immediately after being sworn in in January 2025.

Also approximately 36 percent respondents support US attacks on Iran (in the first half of April it was 35%). 26 percent believes the operation in Iran is worth the costs. A quarter of survey participants (including 6% of Democratic voters and 57% of Republicans) believe that attacks on Iran will increase the security of the United States.

A Reuters/Ipsos study showed that Americans question the president's temperament against the background of his recent statements about the war with Iran and attacks on Pope Leo XIV.

26 percent Americans responded that they thought Trump was “controlled.” 53 percent Republicans share this opinion, and 46 percent is of the opposite opinion. Only 7 percent Democrats found Trump “composed.”

51 percent respondents (including 14% of Republicans, 54% of independent voters and 85% of Democrats) answered that the president's mental capacity had deteriorated over the past year.

The study also shows that only 16 percent Americans support the US leaving NATOwhich the president has recently threatened.

The study lasted for six days and ended on Monday. The margin of error is 2 percentage points.
