A famous musician died during a terrorist attack in Kyiv


“Yesterday, Igor Savchenko died during a terrorist attack. My friend, my faithful brother, musician of our group “Druhe Sontse”. Context

In Kyiv on April 18, an unknown person opened fire on people on the street in the Goloseevsky district, and then took hostages in a supermarket. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings into the terrorist attack.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko, who arrived at the scene, said that the attacker shot people randomly. Upon arrest, the shooter was killed. Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko informed that he is a 58-year-old native of Moscow.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in his evening address noted that investigators have several versions regarding the man’s motives.

According to Ukrayinska Pravdathe name of the suspect is Dmitry Vasilievich Vasilchenkov, date of birth is April 21, 1968.

As reported Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Glagola, male, former Ukrainian military man who served in the Donetsk region until 2004. Place of duty: 254th Motorized Rifle Division, Logistics Support Battalion. Then, as the journalist pointed out, the man went into the reserves and after 2022 continued to serve in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.
