An incident took place on Sunday evening in Caransebeș, where a carousel broke down during a cultural event, leaving 17 children stuck in the amusement device.

According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Caraș-Severin, the military firefighters from the Caransebeș Detachment intervened urgently at around 11:00 p.m. to save the children left suspended in the carousel, following a technical malfunction.
Several intervention crews, as well as medical crews, were mobilized to the scene. The rescuers managed to get all the trapped people down safely, returning the carousel to its original position by manual maneuvers using ropes.
Following the medical evaluation, six children suffered panic attacks and were transported to the Caransebeș Emergency Department for specialized care. The other people involved refused transport to the hospital or other medical interventions.
