CSM Bucharest lost on Saturday against Metz, 27-32, in the semi-final of the Champions League. Played the small final against the other team from France present in the Final 4 of the League.
With Brest, the Romanian vice-champion paraded and ended the season in 3rd place in the Champions League. It was the last match of the season for the Tigresses, one that pleased Bojana Popovic.
Bojana Popovic: “I hope we get the gold next season”
“I'm proud of my girls. We weren't us yesterday, but in this game, the last one of the season, we showed our true colors. I'm happy because we finished the season in this way, especially since many players will be leaving.
It's sport, we have to keep thinking positively. We have the bronze medal and it means a lot to us. I have confidence in what I know how to do and I hope we get the gold next season”, said Bojana Popovic, at Digi Sport.

CSM Bucharest, third place in the Champions League for the third time
For CSM Bucharest, the victory with Brest brought the club its third bronze medal in Champions League history. It happened before in 2017, 26-20 with Buducnost, and in 2018, 31-30 with Rostov.
The Tigroaicele have a Champions League trophy in their records, won in 2016. Then, CSM Bucharest defeated Gyor in the last act, 29-26, after penalty kicks.
