Live Text Presidential Election 2025: The official counting of votes has begun

The Central Electoral Bureau began the official count of votes in the polling stations. At 21.00, all sections were closed, including those in the diaspora.

After counting 77.10 %of the votes, George Simion is in the first place with a percentage of 40, 91 %, Crin Antonescu has 21.41 %, Nicușor Dan has 18, 02 %, Victor Ponta -14.65 %, and Elena Lasconi -2.59 %.
According to EXITT-Poll, at 9 pm, George Simion has 33.3%, Crin Antonescu- 22.8%, Nicușor Dan- 21%. Victor Ponta, with 14.5 % and Elena Lasconi has 4.4 %.

Inscop Research conducted a “survey on the day of the vote” on the territory of Romania (without the diaspora) within an internal test of testing and validation of this research tool.

The survey is representative for the uninstitutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 and over, which declares that it has been presented or will be presented to the vote.
The data were collected by telephone interviews, on a sample of 4,490 respondents, of which votes expressed in the number of respondents 2,455. Maximum admitted error margin is 2%.
The presence at the vote was 53.21%, according to official data. About 8.5 million Romanians voted.
The polling stations at the first round of the presidential elections 2025 closed at 21.00.
