Spain's 2026 World Cup star Lamine Yamal strolled through a Walmart hypermarket unhindered with a shopping cart in which he placed his purchases.
Lamine Yamal, shopping, without being attacked by fans?! In Barcelona, such a thing would be impossible. But not in the United States either, even if the Spanish champion and its players are not unknown there either.
It happened yesterday, when the 18-year-old Spain international was caught leaving a Walmart in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, with a full shopping cart.

He also posted a photo, on Instagram, in which you can see that absolutely nobody pays him the slightest attention! And on the X platform there is a video in which he walks unhindered through the hypermarket, together with some friends, pushing the cart.

But it is equally true that Fort Oglethorpe is 18 miles from the Spanish camp in Chattanooga, Tenn., and that the player wore none of Spain's gear so as to attract the least attention of the locals.
Yamal came to the final tournament after suffering a muscle tear in a LaLiga match against Celta Vigo, which ended his season with Barcelona prematurely.
Barcelona want Lamine Yamal not to be forced, coach Luis de la Fuente has another plan
The Spanish champion is insisting that Spain coach Luis de la Fuente not rush her return to the field, but he has other plans. De La Fuente wants to use him for at least 15 minutes against the Cape Verde national team, on June 15, in the debut match of the Iberians at the 2026 World Cup.
According to Spanish media, he would like Yamal to play 45-60 minutes in the next game, against Saudi Arabia, six days later, and in the duel with Uruguay on June 27, if no new problems arise, he can play the whole match.
The Barcelona winger is a key man in Spain's gear, which, after winning the European title in 2024, is a big favorite to win the 2026 World Cup.
