MTS has summed up the results of the preliminary online selection at GITIS for applicants from the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The event was held on the MTS Link platform as part of the Generation M educational project. Based on the test results, Krasnoyarsk athletes Anna Shotova and Sofya Shulzhenko advanced to the second full-time stage.
The selection for the acting department for children from Siberia was conducted by Tatyana Morozova, senior teacher of the acting department of GITIS. Before individual consultations, the expert held a creative meeting with aspiring actors, where she told them how to choose a repertoire, what criteria they pay attention to during auditions, and how best to reveal themselves on stage. Participants prepared a classic reading program: a fable, a poem and a prose passage.
In total, about 150 people from 30 cities of the Siberian Federal District took part in the creative meeting and selections. Among them are applicants from Krasnoyarsk, Achinsk, Kodinsk, Uyar, Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk and Norilsk.
One of the applicants, Sofya Shulzhenko, mastered vocals, choreography and acting at the Ellipsis creative center in Krasnoyarsk. There she participated in theatrical performances and annual musical performances. In parallel with her studies, the girl performs in the group “My Dad is a Pianist”. The group's compositions were performed in the TV series “Daddy's Daughters. New” on STS and “Career Women” on the Friday! TV channel.
“For me, “Generation M” is already a personal story: in 2019, when I was still just a child, the group “My Dad is a Pianist” became the winner competition “Super-Hit”, so this social project literally accompanies my professional maturation. While studying music, I came to the main idea: for me, content is primary, not form; acting gives me the opportunity to talk to the audience about complex things, to convey deep meanings and my message. Since November last year, I began purposeful and conscious preparation for entering a theater university; in the future I want to play in the theater and act in big films,” shared Sofya Shulzhenko.
Director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Yegoshin noted that the guys from the region regularly show a high level. Last year, about a hundred applicants from all over Siberia and the Far East came to the in-person audition in Krasnoyarsk, and Krasnoyarsk residents Arthur Karelin and Adam Kofman became GITIS students.
“The project between MTS and the country’s leading theater university, which we are implementing not only in person, but also online using the MTS Link platform, allows us to expand educational opportunities for children from different parts of the region. Thus, an applicant can try his hand at a metropolitan teacher in a familiar environment, without traveling to Moscow,” he added.
