The traffic police refuted the fake about checking drivers' smartphones for VPN

April 15 13:00

On behalf of the State Traffic Inspectorate, Russians are being intimidated by checking their smartphones for the presence of VPN and prohibited social networks. The department stated that the messages were fake, writes the Ural Meridian news agency.

The traffic police does not conduct or plan such events. Unknown accounts on social networks send out false information and simply copy the name of the department.

Russians were urged not to believe unverified reports.
