Adrian Stoian (35 years old), former footballer with matches in Serie A, analyzed the title fight in the Romanian Super League. The former winger believes that U Cluj has an advantage over the rest of the play-off teams.

The fight for the title is getting tighter and tighter, and Craiova, U Cluj or Rapid try to speculate on any mistake made by the other opponents. Adrian Stoian is of the opinion that the Superliga has improved in recent years, thanks to the transferred foreigners.

The former FCSB player also analyzed the progress of the champion. He is of the opinion that the red-blue team should make some changes in the team.

Adrian Stoian: “FC Argeș is the surprise of the championship”

“I watch everything on TV when it comes to football. I think it's a good championship. I think it's recovered, better quality foreigners have come. There are teams now fighting for the first places. I've stayed in touch with the guys I was a colleague with at FCSB. At the beginning, the surprise was FC Botoșani, but, by the performance of Argeș, I think they are the surprise.

I would hate to remove someone from the books, they are valuable teams, but I see U Cluj with a little plus as a team, it seems more cohesive.

The fact that FCSB is in the play-out is a surprise for everyone, after they had two extraordinary years, with matches in Europe, two championships. I think they have to fix these problems and go to the players group.

Certain players think they have reached their peak at FCSB, probably in their careers they need a departure and that would probably bring them a new lease of life. Now it depends on whether Mirel will succeed. He demonstrated in Craiova what kind of coach he is, but he is different”, said Adrian Stoian.

Adrian Stoian left for AS Roma, at the age of 16, from the Gică Popescu Academy. He spent over 10 years in Italy, during which time he moved to several teams, such as Pescara, Bari, Chievo, Genoa and Crotone.

After this experience, he signed with FCSB, but did not integrate and returned to Italy, to Livorno, to then go to Viitorul, the current Farul Constanța.

In League 1, he did not settle down, and after the experience at the seaside he got another contract in Italy, at Ascoli. He did not spend much time there and later went to Chindia Târgoviște, which was also the last team of his career.

In Serie A he has 95 matches and scored eight times. In Serie B, the Romanian played in 121 games, and in the Coppa Italia he performed 12 times.
