A surprising solution from Lidl. These are bottles and cans not covered by a deposit

The campaign only covers plastic cans and bottles, which are not covered by the deposit system. Each person who returns such packaging that meets the specified requirements during the program will receive a coupon whose value depends on the number of items returned. Coupons can only be redeemed in the store where they were issued and are valid for 30 days. The campaign lasts until June 30 this year.

As part of the new campaign, Lidl accepts non-deposit plastic cans and bottles only through special machines available in selected stationary stores. Store employees do not accept packaging or issue coupons. Returned packaging must be uncrushed and undamaged, have a legible label with a barcode, and be clean and empty of beverages. They must also not be contaminated in a way that poses a threat to sanitary and hygienic safety. The machines do not accept packaging for dairy products, oils or syrups.

For each non-deposit plastic cans and bottles returned to the machine, the customer will receive a coupon, the value of which depends on the number of packages returned. The rate for one item is 10 gr, both for a plastic bottle and a can. The maximum value of one coupon is PLN 70and the number of packages returned during one transaction cannot exceed the limit entitling you to receive a coupon of this value. Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash, but they can be combined with other promotions and vouchers accepted by Lidl if the conditions of a given campaign are met.
