Spathiphyllum is one of the most beautiful indoor flowers. Delicate snow-white inflorescences in contrast with bright green foliage decorate any interior and purify the indoor air.
However, often “female happiness” does not bloom, and the green leaves dry out and turn yellow. This is a sure sign that the plant lacks the most important elements – phosphorus and magnesium.
In such a situation, spathiphyllum needs to be fed with a natural remedy – whey. It contains potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, as well as a number of vitamins. It is important to remember: only natural products are suitable for preparing fertilizer, without substitutes or additives.
Elixir recipe
Dilute 100 ml of whey in 1 liter of warm, settled water, mix thoroughly and pour the spathiphyllum under the root. It is enough to carry out such feeding once every 10 days. In addition, the resulting solution can be sprayed on the plant's leaves for foliar nutrition.
After just two such procedures, the plant noticeably comes to life, acquires a healthy shine and begins to actively throw out new inflorescences.
Reviews from flower growers
Many indoor plant lovers have already tried this method in practice. For example, florist Elena claims that her spathiphyllum did not bloom for three years, and the leaves were limp.
“After two waterings with the serum, it was as if I had bought a new plant. Three buds came out!” – she said.
Houseplant collector Marina added that “whey is a real first aid for depressed spathiphyllum; the effect is visible within a week.”
