A resident of Surgut was diagnosed with a thyroid tumor after uncontrolled use of medication for diabetics.
As reported by Vestnik of the Surgut Region, citing a source, the woman used an analogue of Ozempic for weight loss. She injected the drug without examination and in violation of dosages. After some time, she went to the clinic on her own.

As a result, she was found to have thyroid tumors with a high risk of developing into malignant ones. Doctors warned the patient to stop taking semaglutide, but she did not listen and continued.
According to Tatyana Verevkina, head of the endocrinology department of the Surgut District Clinical Hospital, obesity is a complex problem that requires an integrated approach with the participation of a nutritionist and a psychologist.
Neurologist Ksenia Danilova added that the drug has serious side effects: damage to the intestines, pancreas, stomach, as well as the risk of hypoglycemia and even irreversible blindness.
Doctors urge you not to self-medicate and undergo a full examination before taking any medications.
