If you're tired of waking up with puffy cheeks, heavy eyes, and bags under your eyes, even after a good night's sleep, don't get out of bed without these proven techniques. Puffiness can be stubborn, but with these movements the face becomes fresh by breakfast.
Light pressure on the bridge of the nose – relieves constriction in the frontonasal area. Place your fingertips just above the bridge of your nose and gently press down and to the sides as you exhale. Repeat 6-8 times. This triggers the drainage of fluid from the eyes.
Tapping from ears to collarbones – “turns on” the lymphatic system. Using your fingertips, lightly tap along a line from your earlobe down to your collarbone. Do this for 30 seconds and the swelling will begin to go away.
Breathing with extended exhalation – reduces internal pressure in blood vessels. Inhale through the nose – 4 seconds, exhale through the mouth – 6-8 seconds. Repeat 5 times. This relaxes the facial muscles and improves microcirculation.
These three movements are your reliable morning ritual. They take less than 3 minutes and do not require creams, rollers or ice.
