A leak of almost 25 tons of radioactive water occurred at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant.
The incident occurred in the building of the second power unit in one of the tanks.
It is clarified that a robot was launched into the premises to survey the area. It was determined that water had escaped through drainage holes into the basement of the building. This was reported by NHK TV channel.
According to the nuclear plant operator, despite the incident, there are no problems with fuel cooling.
