One of the best-known radio personalities in Romania has just announced his departure from the station where he has been working for a year
Departure from the Radio Impuls team: George Zafiu, the manager of the station and one of the producers of the morning show, is leaving the radio station, informs Paginademedia.ro on Thursday.
Zafiu's departure comes right in the middle of the season for the morning show “Brigada Devreme” from Radio Impuls, points out Paginademedia.
The radio personality announced his departure on social media. He writes in the message that he wants to take “a break, a necessary time for me and personal projects”.
“Almost two years have passed since I joined the Radio Impuls team, two years in which I built very beautiful things with my colleagues, with notable results. But the time has come for me to take a break, a necessary time for me and personal projects. I thank the listeners of Radio Impuls, whom I have always felt close to, and I say goodbye to my colleagues, who I wish continued success”, wrote George Zafiu.
Zafiu was the producer of the morning show at Radio Impuls, together with Ramona Dumitrescu and Andrei Tudorache, and his arrival at Dogan's radio station was felt in the audience, which had notable increases. The latest data show that the audience figures of Radio Impuls have doubled in certain segments, writes Paginademedia.
George Zafiu had joined Radio Impuls in November 2024. Previously, Zafiu had worked for 24 years at Europa FM. He was the first voice to open the Europa FM broadcast in 2000.
